Lash Tutorial

Before you begin you need to remove the lashes from the tray and remove as much of the glue as you can.  I usually just hold it on the edge with thumb and finger and pull it through a few times…your fingers will soon get tacky from the glue and help to pick up more of the glue from the lash.  Just clean it the best that you can.  Then you need to measure it against the eye rim and cut.

First the supplies you will need:  a pin or needle, glue (preferably a vinyl adhesive), a small container of water, 2 toothpicks, lashes

If you need it you can also use a magnifying visor.

Squeeze out a small amount of glue onto a disposable surface (I use a cardboard thingy)

Dip the tip of the pin into the glue.

Take the glue and dot it lightly along the inside of the eyelid rim.

Don’t worry if you get glue on the eyeball or surrounding vinyl…it will wipe off easily with a damp toothpick.

Take the lash (after it has been cut down to size) with one hand and place it in one corner, whichever is most comfortable for you.

Take one of the toothpicks (which has been sitting in the container of water) and wipe off the excess water slightly.  Use it to press the lash into the lid where you are holding it.

Switch hands and as you are holding the lash in place with one toothpick, take the other toothpick and gently work the rest of the lash onto the lid, holding for a few seconds as you move along.

When it is somewhat secure take the damp toothpick and wipe away any glue that got on the eyeball or vinyl.

For a minute or so keep pressing a toothpick along the lashline gently as the glue dries.

Repeat for the other eye, and basically do the same for the lower lids.
